Don't worry No zebras were harmed making this serving board, only our beautiful dark walnut from Illinois and exotic Zebrawood all the way from Africa. Although this is a dark combination of wood species notice how the 2 white stripes of maple highlight the rest of the piece providing the proper contrast and balance in the color scheme. All the materials used for this board are FDA-Approved and food safe to use. It is made out of the face grain of the wood this is why we marked it as a serving board, it can still be used as a cutting board just have in mind that knife marks will appear easier than in an edge or end grain cutting board.
